
Dr Ryle is a native of Tralee and returned to Kerry with his young family in 2017. He joined the team in The Ashe Street Clinic in the same year and in 2019 became a partner in the practice.
He graduated from University College Cork in 2005 and then worked in hospital medicine in Cork University Hospital, Mid-Western Regional Hospital Limerick, Kerry General Hospital and Mallow General Hospital.
Dr. Ryle joined the South East General Practice Training Programme in 2007 and gained experience in a number of specialised areas including paediatrics, obstetrics/gynaecology, emergency medicine and psychiatry. During this time he also worked as a GP in Western Australia. On completion of his specialist training in general practice Dr. Ryle became a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners in 2011. He has also trained in occupational health medicine and has been awarded a Licentiateship of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (LFOM). Dr Ryle also has a Diploma in Obstetrics and Women’s Health, a Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry and a Certificate in Diabetes Care.
His areas of special interest include Occupational Health Medicine, Diabetes, Minor Surgery, Joint Injections and Men’s Health. Dr. Ryle is a Department of Transport approved doctor for the issuing of seafarer medical certificates. He is also a trainer on the South West General Practice Training Programme.
