The medical team at The Ashe Street Clinic provide a comprehensive range of health services for women.

Dr Soffe has a special interest in women’s health and has a vast experience in the diagnosis and management of women’s health conditions including:

• Polycystic ovarian syndrome
• Dysmenorrhoea (painful periods)
• Menorrhagia (heavy periods)
• Irregular cycles/periods/bleeding
• Premenstrual syndrome/ PMDD
• Vaginal discharge
• Endometriosis
• Infertility
• Vulval disorders

The clinic also provides:

• Pre-natal screening for women planning a baby.
• Free pregnancy testing for all patients.
• Maternity care.
• Support for breastfeeding mothers.
• Post-natal care for mothers and babies.
• Cancer screening (breast examination and cervical smear testing).

Intimate examinations such as cervical smears or breast examinations are normally carried out by our Practice Nurses or one of our Doctors (who is normally chaperoned by one of our Practice Nurses during these procedures).

Women are welcome to bring a friend or relative with them if they wish for any intimate examination or procedure.
